Let It Be Jesus
I was preparing for a meeting the other day and thinking of what one thing do I want them to understand about me. My only thought was that Christ is my life. No other thing matters. Just the Gospel. Then this verse was brought to my mind.
Colossians 3:1-4
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
And then I started from the beginning.
Colossians 1:3-6
We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.
Oh my yes! This is what I am about. I believe the Good News of Christ’s payment for my sin and the gift of eternal life. Now my life is hidden in Christ. I abide in Christ and walk in the Spirit knowing there are wonders ahead of me after this life fades away. My mission is to share God’s Great News of Grace to everyone I meet. To be an aroma of life bearing fruit for the eternal. This message changes lives from death to life! Let my life be Jesus.
