The Good News is Christ died for your sins, to give you eternal life and now, we who believe, are identified “in Christ.” We are no longer to live in the flesh, but to walk in the Spirit. The Good News for the believer is Christ in you. You were never made to walk this life alone. You have been made righteous, free, alive, victorious . . . The Holy Spirit reminds us of who we are and asks us to live life in light of these truths. “The ministry of the law, which rightly condemned me, brought out my failures, but the ministry of the Spirit brings out His success.” (77)
“Sanctification is simply this: By believing in who Christ is for us, we offer ourselves to the Spirit throughout the day, and His life and provision become increasingly apparent as the days progress.” (80)
This is our sanctification, but also our fellow believers’ in Christ. They too have Christ in them. They are not what they used to be. They have the Spirit inside. They are not the enemy. They are our brothers and sisters, co-heirs, & co-laborers.
We need to be working toward the goal of setting individuals free from the grip of Satan and death by sharing the Good News of eternal life through Christ. This is our goal #1. Sometimes it is hard for us to remember who we are. As we remember or learn who we are in Christ, goal #2 is setting our brothers and sisters free with the truth of who they are in Christ. To be set free is to walk in the light, not as defeated, but as victorious. Not as a sinner, but as a saint!
God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.
These are my goals:
- Share the Gospel with the people I meet
- Share God’s Astounding Opinion of his sons and daughters with the believers on my life’s path
I give God’s Astounding Opinion of You ⭐⭐⭐⭐
